The Itinerary

Please plan to arrive into Florence no later than Sunday, the day before the tour starts. We are happy to assist with any pre or post tour plans.

Day 01

Monday

We will pick you up at the airport in Florence. It is easy for a bus to arrive and easy to get out of town. It should be no more than a 10-15 minute taxi or uber from most places in the city center.

Wine and lunch - Lunch and wine tasting at Tenuta di Capezzana

Dinner - You are free to explore the charms of Pietrasanta each evening.  There is something for everyone, whether you just need a lite bite or a michelin worthy meal.

Day 02

Tuesday

Culture: We will visit the city of Lucca and its splendid medieval walls and get to know the city through music - from Puccini to Rolling Stones. Lucca was the birthplace of the great Puccini and has hosted, throughout his history, many other internationally renowned artists. A rich historical and musical heritage that has grown more and more over the years thanks to the excellent artists who lived the city. We will learn the history and artistic beauties of Lucca through the melody of those who have exercised their art here.

Dinner: We will head to the hills for a dinner at Osteria il Vignaccio, where the food is as spectacular as the views.

Day 03

Wednesday

Culture: To the sea. We are going to visit the city of Forte dei Marmi on the Mediterranean with views of the mountains in the distance. After lunch, we will visit the cute village of Pietrasanta, famous for its artisans and sculptors.

Lunch: We will eat lunch with our friend Tim at his small restaurant in Pietrasanta called Sull’Amo. Will Tim earn a Michelin star one day? Join us and decide for yourself.

Wine: We are going to visit a nearby winery where you will try two particularly unique wines – an aged white wine and an indigenous red grape from this area that you will have never tried before.

Dinner: You will have a free evening tonight.

Day 04

Thursday

Culture: Pisa and its monuments. Yes, you have seen it on tv and in photos for ages. But you will get the opportunity to see how beautiful the tower and cathedral are in Pisa.

Lunch: We are going to have delicious pizza for lunch today in Pisa.

Day 05

Friday

Culture: The extraordinary marble quarries in Carrara - The stone will appear in all its beauty, almost asleep, even in the natural state. The colors, the shades, the ability to play with the light will give us the opportunity to investigate the charm that this material has always had on man. And the views from the top of the hill are superb.

Lunch and wine tasting: We have not known Martina and Manu for long, but we consider them friends. His wines are great, her honey is succulent, and their food is special. And it helps that they might just be some of the nicest people you will meet.

Day 06

Saturday

Culture: We are going to visit what we call the "6th village" of Cinque Terre, the often overlooked Porto Venere.

We will arrive by boat for lunch at what may be the most beautiful view of the week.

Day 07

Departure Day

We will leave the Villa at 10am for the 2 hour drive to Florence.
